John M. “Jack” Hogan – Classs of 1942

The Alumni Association was recently notified of the passing of John M. “Jack” Hogan of the Class of 1942.  John is survived by his wife of 69 years, Peg, his three children Mike, Kevin, and Ellen (Joseph) Mulvey, and four grandchildren along with many other relatives.  John was a very active supporter of Leo High School and his brother Donald is a long term member of the Alumni Association Board of Trustees.  

John’s obituary indicates that he graduated from St. Sabina Grammar School in 1938 and Leo High School in 1942.  John served in the Army in WW II  and subsequently attended Loras Collage and Loyola University.  John was a proud member of the Cavaliers, St. Linus Way Off Broadway Palace Review and the Good Times Show Lounge, Skylarks Unlimited, The Has Beens and and a regular featured guest on The Browsers Radio Show as well as being a St. Xavier Men’s Basketball Booster and season ticket holder.

Visitation for John is Saturday January 5th, from 2-8 p.m at the Robert J. Sheehy & Sons Funeral Home, 9000 W. 151st Street,  in Orland Park, and his funeral Mass is scheduled for Monday, January 7th, at 10:00 a.m at St. Bede the Venerable Church.
