Veteran’s Day Memorial Observation Nov 4th 2016

On Friday, Nov 4th, Students, Staff, and Alumni gathered at Leo High School to pay respects to those who served their country so well.

Both Coach Holmes and  Dan McGrath spoke as well as Leo student Damari Owens , Class of 2017.  The national Anthem was sung by Charles Riley, Class of 2017. The wreaths were placed by Lonnie Fuqua and Jim Furlong, Class of 1965 and  brother of former Alumni President Rich Furlong.   The Marine Corps color guard was provided by the 2nd Battalion of the 24th Marines. Appropriate bugling was done by Cleveland Holder.

After the ceremony, sandwiches were served.  All in all it was a most appropriate way to maintain the memory of our Veterans in the minds of our students and alumni. For a slideshow of the days event, click this link
